During our visit to Bergen (and surroundings), we stayed in ‘Harbor Apartments’.
In the afternoon we arrived with 27 motorcycles. Fortunatly there was enough room for parking all the bikes in front of the hotel. With a stunishing impression we entered our apartments. Very nice decorated: A mix of very modern and “Mies van de Rohe – styled”, inculding the famous design chairs! Really nice!
We had an accident on our way to Bergen. But the owners where kind enough to help us out for the necessery tools and pieces to model the bike the way it could drive savely again the next day.
In the evening, we walked a short trip to old-Bergen. With the hot tempertures that day, it was very busy and fun there. Some of us joint the gathering of local bikers and had some very interesting conversations.
The next morning there was a nice breakfast served at the Nautic-terras aside of the building. Looking out into the harbor. Beautiful weather (again!) made a the whole story complete.

I can recommend the Harbour Apartments strongly for either a short or a longer stay.
We moved in to the Harbour Apartments in the last weeks of my pregnancy and we moved out with a baby of 7 months, so we lived there for 8 months. Although the reason why we had to move (fire) was not so pleasant, we could not have wished for a better temporary place than living in Harbour Apartments. The staff is very friendly and welcomed us with open arms. They did everything for us to make us feel at home and to make sure that I and they baby were comfortable. They are always there to help. The location is perfect, beautifully on the fjord of Bergen and with a walking distance to town. Many buses stop right in front and there is a small local supermarket just across the street. It is located in one of the prettiest neighbourhoods of Bergen, Sandviken, and at one side a view over the fjord and on the other side you have a view of Bergens famous mountain, Fløyen.
It is a perfect place for short term visitors or a temporary house for expats or other (business) people.

Great Service and Help in Bergen
Tourist Information Office in Bergen, Norway
To Whom it May Concern:
On the afternoon of Wednesday, August 20th we arrived in Bergen,
Norway by air and took a taxi to the city.
We had made a booking error and found ourselves without accommodation.
We went to the Tourist Information office in Bergen and they arranged for us to stay at the Harbour Apartments, Sanviksboder 9-10 5035 Bergen, Norway.
We were very pleased with the accommodation at the Harbour Apartments. The facility was new and clean and the people there were very helpful and informative.
We enjoyed our brief stay in the city and the next morning when we were to go to the train station, we were unable to get a taxi to get us to the station in time for our train.
We were rescued by a gentleman from the hotel who drove us to the station, getting us there just in time to catch our train with only minutes to spare.
Without this help we would most certainly have missed the train and the connections for the day that were based on catching this train.
We wish to thank the Harbour Apartments staff for going beyond the call of duty to help out their guests. We are most appreciative of their help.
We highly recommend their accommodations. Our thanks to the Tourist Information Office for arranging for us to stay at the Harbour Apartments.
